Hey All,
I'm new to the forum so I'll keep it simple. My Gameshark 2 will NOT work with my PS 2. I keep getting error messages. It worked for the first 2 weeks then stopped. Gameshark.com will not replace it and say it's my PS 2. Sony won't fix or replace my PS 2 because its past warranty. My PS 2 is a 1st generation North American PS 2 because I purchased it on the night of its release. What can I do? Is there a way I can burn a copy as a backup and then it should work? Or do I need to try something else. If I can back it up, please tell me how, or point me in the right direction. I'm a newbie to the whole DVD backup deal. So be gentle. And use idiot terms. Thanks for any help. Chris P.S. If you want to contact me directly BobaFett_FBH**********com Thanks again. |

it's impossible to burn a working backup unless you have a messiah mod.
if you could burn a selfbooting GS2 backup, you could burn selfbooting PS2 games too and wouldn't need a modchip in the first place. try cleaning the cd, and make sure the dongle is seated firmly. sometimes sliding it out a little will help too.

Gameshark
Heck man go buy a gameshark Keyboard they are really cheap and come with a 1.9 gameshark disk. If that doesnt work you may have a ps2 problem. But you didnt say if it booted games ok or not? If it plays ps2 games then buy a keyboard. I dont clean my GS disk much keep it put in a jewel case then put it right back.
