Help with CR48X5-TE (Mitsumi)

I recently bought a 48X5-TE because I had had great success with a previous Mitsumi model of CD-R/W. This one howver has caused a great headache. I can record to CD/R's no problem, but when trying to write to a CD-R/w it (NERO) will usually come back and say Invalid WriteState. It won't burn to a cd-r/w with any software I've tried however, it works great for a cd-r. It will read a cd-r/w no prob. Help.....
Athlon 1 G @ 1.333, 256 pc133, mitsumi floppy, Geforce2 MX
Again, help...

o/c can cause problems with your burners as when you overclock the bus speed also goes up. I will assume you know this and of course that doesnt mean that thats is what is causing the problem although i would test it without o/c just in case.
also what rw cd brands have you tried?
have you set your burner to master on the scsi or ide inferface?
have you tried disc juggler (burning software)?
or Nti (burning software)?
have you complained to mitsumi?
