my PS2 has 10 screws, is NTSC, serial # U2XXXXXXXXXX, model# SCPH 30001. Can i use a messiah chip? Thanks

my advice would have to b sell v3 buy a
v4 For those who have an interest in US machines & Messiah clones, here is how to tell if you can install Messaih to your US box. SCPH-30001 V4 is compatible: 1) if the DATECODE is not a 1C (like 1B or 1A you are fine) 2) if the DATECODE is 1C check your serial # -if it starts with U0 or U2, its not compatible. (yet they are working on it) U5/U6 are compatible. How do you know what version US PS2 you got? Check the back label for a SCPH-3xxxxx and under the serial number area is DATECODE info as well. but if not best solution for a v3 is the origa chip

Thats a question we all would like to know the answer to. I dont believe it will happen anytime soon but you never know.
