Need help with strange Audio CD occurence
Hi All,
I am trying to burn an Audio CD and it is not working. I have tried using Nero (latest version), CDRWin (latest version), WinOnCD 3.6. All have the same result. What happens is that the tracks all get burnt with the correct start and finnish times and the correct length but there is no sound. When playing the CD in a CD Player there is absolute silence for the duration of every track. I don't know what is wrong or how to fix it. The burner will burn data CD's without problems, but will not burn Audio EVER. System is: Pentium 3-500 SCSI HP 8200 4X CD burner Win98 128MB RAm and the above burning programs. I also use BASF or Imation CD-R's Hopefully someone can help me here thanks in Advance |

Only with the same cd you tried to backup or with any cd you did try to backup?

This is with burning MP3's or Wavs into a standard CD-DA Audio CD. If I drag and drop MP3's into any of the burning programs it seems to burn everything correctly. Then when you put the Audio CD in a CD player there is nothing but silence and tack markers.

Perhpas HP have a firmware upgrade? Perhaps not.
I bought a dirt-cheap Traxdata 8z writer - it does DAO audio discs. I'm surprised you had this problem with HP, as they've usually got a pretty good respuation for building quality drives. Bye. |
