Creative 8432 + Fast error skip= ?

I´m wondering if my Creative 8432 will ever be capable of reading safedisc games. Is fast error skip firmware or hardware based?
If hardware based, anyone know a DVD-reader which also can read all kinds of protections?

If it is an 8432E then according to ElaborateBytes it works with firmware version 1.07

My device is a 8432E and it works fine with all prtoctions except Safedisc. And this is my main concern.
