clone cd issues...please help..thank you :-)

hello all
i have just started using clone cd and can copy back up playstation games that have already been patched ,very well.
however i can't copy an origional game ,only getting past the lead in. then nothing.
the write options i have are...
simulate writing..
perform laser power calibration.
wait untill buffers are full.
always close last session.
the read options are.
read sub.channel data. from data tracks..
.. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. audio tracks..
fast error skip..
don't report read errors..
intellegent bad sector scanner..
i don't know which ones i should enable or check as settings..

as the product is not registered as i have no key to register it i have only the option of writing at x2 which is ok for the patched games..
should i purchase the product..and have laa options available to me or will it simply not copy origional games..
ok that was longwinded but i felt i should give as much info as possible to the experts.
thank you in advance...
happy days :-)
