Sid Meier's Sim Golf....copy protected??

Hi,

Does anyone know if there's a copy protection on Sid Meier's Sim Golf?

Using CloneCD I was able to make a copy of the game, but so far I have not been able to play it. The copy seems fine all the way through the install process, but will not play without the original disc. Looking at the files on the disc it is definitely a SafeDisc protection of some type (don't know versions).

Hopefully with the soon to be released crack (this is an assumption, but it seems valid), the CloneCD copy will work.

Clone CD worked too for me. It starts out funny sticking on like 1-5% of the read for like a half hr or so but will speed up very fast after a bit. Just gotta leave it go. Said it'd last 6hrs to do it but i think it was like 1.5hrs to read and then burnt in no time at all.

Were you able to play with the copied CD though? I get the game to crash every time I try.

I believe this game has the new Safedisk 2.51.021. This version of Safedisk 2 has been defeating most burners that could previously copy Safedisk 2. The Lite On 24X and 32X are able to copy this protection. There has been some success with a modified version of Betablocker. You should try this.
There is no Unsafedisk for this new protection!

With regards to it taking an hour and a half to read, you shouild select Fast Error Skip when reading, set Read Retries to 0 and Error Correction to Software.
