WDM patches

Can somebody tell me why games like Midtown Madness 2, Star Wars Battle for Naboo, Star Wars Episode 1 Racer don't support sound and graphic cards with WDM drivers installed (Win ME). I've to install the Vxd drivers for my sound card and delete the WDM drivers for my graphic card to have those games to work correctly. I had Windows XP on my pc but I've deleted it and installed Win ME. My graphic card is a Nvidia GeForce 3 Ti200 and the sound chip is CMI8378 from C-Media.
Does any WDM patch exist for those games ?
