We could have a upgrade of Safedisc V2.40.010, Why??

I Copied Hot Date yesterday & I know its protected by SDV2 (2.40.010) so I done the copy as usual, CloneCD with Betablocker. Installed it with no problems but when it came to play, the game bailed out instantly. It looked at the CD, verified that it was 'original' then went to start the game, the screen flickered as usual when it changes video modes then I was back at my desktop.

This is strange, if it was SDV2 protection it would be an Illegal Operation Error as it normally is, I went to use unsafedisc v2 but all I got was a message "Get Thread Context failed. process already finished??". Thats why I think they have slipped in an upgrade, I downloaded a Fixed EXE from gamefix & now the game runs fine.

But it could be that Betablocker has actually stuffed up which would be a first, its always worked for me...
