I'm looking for the protection too. I may purchase it tonight and reply. Hopefully its SafeDisk not SafeDisk2...If its 2, I'm screwed.

I'm pretty new to this, so please bare with me.

When i downloaded the crack for Ghost Recon, it turned out to be an 'ace. document', but i was then told to replace the existing GhostRecon.exe with this file.

Something doesn't make sense here

amplify weak sectors didn't work

I tried making a copy of Ghost recon with clonecd ver. 3.2.1.1 with amplify weak sectors enabled, but it still asks for the cd when I try to run it. Can some tell me the settings to use?

I tried it at 1x read and every other settings posible. Funny cause I made a perfect copy of black thorn with version 3.0.x.x of clonecd, but nothing I try works for ghost recon. I thinks they both have safedisc2. Any one else have a suggestion I would appreciate it.

Thanks

Ghost recon may have the latest safediskv2 (sdv2) protection where it checks for 'atip' to determine if the CD is a CDR or a silverpress (original CD). The latest version of cloneCD may copy SD2 protected games, but the game will not work because the media you used to copy it on will be in conflict with latest SDv2. Therefore you need to use a program to remove the protection from the game before you make a clone backup. Easier said than done, because I dont know of any programs that can remove the copy protection from the original CD because its write protected. I am a newbie at backing up orginal PC games but this is what I have gathered from 1 night of research. Feel free to edit my message if iam wrong so that others can learn from my mistakes.
