Yuri's Revenge uses Safedisk 2 protection. You will need to have a CD-writer that is capable of handling this protection, only a few writers can do this, for example Plextor 24X or Acers. If you have a writer capable of Safedisk 2, get a copy of Clony and it will tell you what settings to use.
If you don't have such a writer, you need to get a fixed exe. You can get this from GCW or make your own using Unsafedisk 2. You then replace the original exe with the fixed one.
