How do I know if I defeated "FADE" in OFP???

Hi,

I've never really played this game before and can't stay alive long enough to notice any game malfunctions.... How do I know if I've cracked the game effectively so as to eliminate fade??? Thanks.

Hi there,

You know if you've defeated the FADE if what is described as the FADE (at game startup - all that text nobody pays attention to anyway) doesn't happen after playing for a certain period of time.

I have patched my game to v1.20 - I get the "Original games don't fade" message only during the beginning of multiplayer for about 10 seconds and then it goes away, and after having played for an hour or so without dying, (many hours with dying) I notice no game performance loss. (Apparently a side effect of the FADE)

P.S. Just leave your game running before you're about to go to sleep or something... Then wake you wake up, see if your game has 'FADED'.
