does anybody know how to burn a vcd so it can be played on my sony cd/dvd/vcd player?

Yeah, i have the same problem. I called Sony and the players are incompatible with any kind of cdr or cdrw so you cannot play anything but professionally authored video cds (which i've never seen any of). If anyone finds out a method to make the player play the video cd, let me know!

I know it's a bit of a long shot this, but..

Could you "chip" your Sony DVD player to make it compatible with any cd-r format?

Perhaps someone knows more info.

Shame about Sony being so mean with you guys..
