HELP! FA Manager 2002 how do I copy?

I am trying to backup my copy of FA 2002 I have tried Clone CD but it wont play can anyone help. Do I need to patch this game if so where do I get the patch and how do I use it. Sorry about all the questions but I'm a complete newbie to this.

Do some research matey.

Check out GCW above and search for your game.

see what protection it has and use the patches there. There are instructions on how to use the patches as well.

As an aside, what burner do you have? FA 2002 is Safedisc2 and requires specific burners to copy the cd.

I AM doing some research, thats why I'm asking the question. I have a Plexor 12 speed IDE. also a Mitsumi 4 speed.
I have always copied using Clone so never needed to bother with patches but this game I've copied 5 times and none will run. I D/Ld CLONYXL and it says SAFEDISC 2 so as you can see I am doing as much as I can but I need pointed in the right direction.
