quick question about backup, cant seem to find answer....

i want to make a back up of a dvd that i own.

i have an application that says it will make it happen.

my question:

i want to purchase a dvd burner. will this hardware allow me to make a full copy, copywright issues aside?

Any recommendations on hardware?

thanks.

if you are considering making a working copy of a DVD by ripping all files and copying back onto a blank DVD via a DVD writer then "save your money " it will cost almost as much for the blank disc as it would to go out and purchase the original
