can i play burned ps2 games on my ps2 w/out a modchip?

i know how to burn some ps2 games, but i was wondering if there is a way to play them without a modchip, and w/out having to stick a knife in my disk tray. is there like a boot disk i can use? thanks

No in short. There is a no solder modchip that goes inside the PS2 by breaking into the disk drive cable circuit on a v5 PS2.
