I have a copy of Diablo 2 and it does ok. A neighbor sometimes does this for me when I don't have the time to do it myself. He has the habit of reading and writing at maximum speed and occasionally the copy won't run. I drag the cd contents to the harddrive and burn it back at 4x or less. Then it will do ok.

Possibly you should try reading and writing at 2x because some drives, especially if it's an older unit, is rather unstable at high speeds. Diablo 2 has no copy protection other than the cd key. Maybe try another? Or look for a key generator?

Ha! That's the best joke I heard since ages!
In fact, Diablo II uses one of the newest kinds of SecuROM which can't be copied with many different brands of writers, even if you use Clone CD!!
George...stop teeling tales!
