Baldur's Gate 2, backup problems

I've been trying of making a backup of Baldur's Gate, spanish version. As the "only" one protection it had was cd-checks , I copied succesfully it with cdrwin, but trying to install from the copy i had some errors reading the file
AREA1000.bif in the data folder on the second cd, something as "cycle reading" message appears in w2000 when trying to copy that file to the HD.
Can anybody help me on how to copy the game..? and if it is any kind of protection or just a failed copy. Thanks in advance.

There is absolutely no protection on this, no funny sectors, nothing.
I suggest that either your original is bad or your copy was bad.
