Nero 5.0.3.8. Can it copy AofE2? If so, how?

I have Nero 5.0.3.8. So far, it has been reading the CD for 46 minutes and it is still at 0%. I am a patient man (probably dumb too), but this is ridiculous. I'm obviously doing something wrong here. Is it that Nero can't backup this game? I would use Clone-CD, but I only have a HP 8100 (not supported). Any help on the proper settings for Nero or other options to consider would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Had to modify my message. It's up to 1% Read (took 1 hour). I'm gonna wait it out and see, but there's gotta be a better way to do this. Please for the love of God, HELP!!! Later.

I tried blindread when I copied it but my burner wasn't supported...try reading at 8x speed using the nero setting on this site....I used clonecd and it still took me 2 hours to copy it....It seems like it's not going anywhere but be patient and when it hits about 1:45 it should speed up and will finish in about 15 mins....good luck

i used an earlier version of nero to backup aoe2. i placed all the files off d:\ onto the cd then used a safe #### generic cracker to get the oringal .exe. Replace the exe on the cd with your newly created one, then write the cd.
