Elvis mod? Possible scam???

Went to a place that had something called the Elvis mod. They claimed that they 'reverse engineered' the Messiah chip. It seems they said it works on the v4 of the US ps2 and I think some of the PAL PS2's. Who knows? It might work.

Another question, is there a mod to play the dvdr discs burned by the Pioneer A03 drive? Also how fast does it burn an entire 4.7gb disc(minute-wise). Thanks!
