So with all my stuff right now, Would I be able to make a successful ps2 game...oh yeah I'm talking about burning a cd ps2 game..I know about the dvd ps2 games. Well please help!

Yes at present you need a Boot CD as well as having your PS-2 chipped (unless you are one of the lucky ones and own a Nero 4 chip already).

Thes reason for needing aboot CD it to Boot the games up on your Ps-2 all the chp does is enable the Ps-2 to recognise imports with the added bonus of recognising CD-R's.

if you need all the stuff goto http://playstationmods.com or http://www.kanection.co.uk and they should be able to help.

Hi,

You could boot your backups using the NEOKEY but get yourself an internal mod from the places DEANO mentioned above.

If your not 2 hot with a soldiering iron, then there is a list of chippers that will do it for a small fee, which is well worth it.

Dal, oh no..I meant that I already have a neokey...sorry I forgot to mention that. Well would I have to patch Oni in order to burn it successfully and play it or could I just have nero burn it and it would be fine. I would just like to say thank you for taking time out to help me.

Hi,

With the NEOKEY you have to patch your games before they will work. Check out www.eapatcher.com

They have something on there the called the EA patcher which will help you patch your backups, you will have to find the right patch, another place to get pacthes is megagames.com

I have an internal mod so i dont patch my games, just burn and boot, but i have heard that NEOKEY users have to patch the games first before you can play, or maybe thats just EA Games..

Can anyone clarify what ive just said about how to get backups to play on a NEO-KEY PS2????

GoodLuck

Dal

Trash the neo key and install a neo2.2 chip.

Hi,

An internal mod, is a mod-chip that has been installed in your PS2, i have the NEO2.2 mod installed.

An external mod would be the NEOKEY/S-Box as that slots into your USB port.

Cheers

As has been said in previous posts, the internal mod is purposefully wired to where it matters (reading and managing registers, controlling the Drive, etc.). A USB mod is confined to the parts that the USB logic can reach, and that is limited, although not cripplingly so in terms of outcomes.
