CloneCD patching query
I've recently copied a PSX original CD using CloneCD , which worked fine, and I do have a modchip. But my question is, can CloneCD images be patched, so I can use trainer patches that exist for games out there??? Which program can do it, if indeed it can be done...
Thanks for all your help. Cheers. |

Ok,
CloneCD images cannot be patched. If you want to patch a game you will need these. CDRwin PPf-O-Matic and also Fireburner(your choice) To patch the game you need to first create the cuesheet using CDRwin and then download the PPf patch from megagames.com. Use PPf-O-Matic to apply the patch to the .Bin file and then burn back to CD using either CDRwin or Fireburner. All the above programs can be downloaded from my site below and also I have tutorials for you to follow if you get stuck. Hope this helped. |

I have successfully patched a CloneCD image (thanks to a prompt given by another member of this Forum). The process I used was as follows:
1 Read the original to hard disk in the normal CloneCD manner 2 Rename the IMG file to BIN and apply the patch in the normal way 3 Rename the BIN file back to IMG 4 Burne the IMG to CD-R with CloneCD I don't guarantee all outcomes because I haven't exhaustively tested different types of patch. But it is worth a try and a report from you on the outcome for the benefit of the Forum. |
