Settings?
Can anyone tell me what kind of settings I need to have on to back up my game without error messages?

What software are you using?? You shouldn't get read errors on PSX games so read errors should be set to abort, if you do then usually the game needs cleaning or is damaged. Clean with warm (not hot) soapy water. if that doesnt help try copying from a different original.

I'm using cdrwin and I get "can't read sector" errors.

Woodmaster101 has given you the correct reply. You have one small hope which is to analyse the CD with a tool called CD-R-Diagnostic ( ####://www.cdrinfo.com/software/ ) and analyse where the read errors happen to be. If it's in a sound file only, don't worry too much and you can set your burning software to ignore read errors. I don't guarantee the outcome but on the occasion that I've done this, the game boots OK and hasn't hit problems yet.
