Newbie Alert! Help if u can!

Hello all! Im new to burning. I have a couple of questions to make and some doubts that need to be cleared up. First of all whats the best way to copy any cd?? Record an image to the hard disk then burn it?

I have CloneCD, CDRWIN and BlindRead/Write. I hear a lot of CloneCD but i dont understand 1:1 copies, what is that???

Is it possible to backup a PSX game and be able to play it without a MOD chip?? IF so how?? If their is a site that can explain most of my doubts please post it.

Whats the best recording speed? I would like to know an efficient and fast speed that will work with out errors. My main reason for burning will be PSX games. I think i have all the necesary tools.
How do i bypass the protection some CD's have. Like Time Crisis for ###ne, they use a PSX/Libcrypt protection, how do i bypass that??

Sorry if i ask a lot. Thanks for your pacience.

It is best to burn from hard drive so you dont have underbuffer errors.

1:1 is an exact copy of the cd, Most cd programs will try to correct errors.

You can play back ups with a CD like modchip, but I prefer a modchip since you dont have to be swapping cd's. Go to Modchip.com or any other modchip sites to find out more info.

I burn at 8x with no problems, you need to find out for yourself, also use high quality cdr's (verbatims are the best in my opinion). Also try and do anything on computer while burning.

Like Time Crisis for ###ne, they use a PSX/Libcrypt protection, how do i bypass that??

Most games that have a prtoection has a patch you can apply.....

Hope that helps!

ANSWER: Record an image to the hard disk then burn it

I have CloneCD, CDRWIN and BlindRead/Write. I hear a lot of CloneCD but i dont understand 1:1 copies, what is that???

ANSWER: clone cd it copies the protection so there is no need to patch (but if its mod chip protected you will need to patch you can tell if its mod chip protected the original game will not play if you got a mod chip fitted) so use cdrwin & pff-o-matic if you need to patch a game (clonecd as to be 100% compatible with your writer)

ANSWER: yes you can a the swap trick with a PS-X Change disc

Whats the best recording speed?

ANSWER:x2-x4 but some like to do the writing faster

I would like to know an efficient and fast speed that will work with out errors.

ANSWER: you shound never have erorrs on psx game if you do it means the game is damage in some way

My main reason for burning will be PSX games. I think i have all the necesary tools.

ANSWER: with clonecd with these settings
READ:
subchannel data from data on
subchannel audio from data on
all the rest off
WRITE:
don't repair data on
always close on
all the rest off
but clonecd as to be 100% compatible with these settings it will copy the protection

Thanks a whole lot!!! That helps.

My writer is compatible with everything except RAW-SAO. It works pretty well at 10X(16X MAX), no errors.

Since i need 1:1 copies i will use CloneCD to make an image, Freelock to make encrypted cue sheet and CDRWIN to burn the protected image to disc. Is that ok??

I have also noticed that CloneCD wont make a CUE sheet if the source disc contains two sessions. I selected "Create cue sheet" option when i tried to burn an image of Office 2000 Professional, but it didnt work. Whats all that about two sessions????

Here it is ( if someone could explain or point me to the right direction to get an answer) :
FILE "D:\Images\Office2k.BIN" BINARY
TRACK 01 MODE2/2352
INDEX 01 00:00:00
TRACK 02 MODE2/2352
INDEX 00 59:41:08
INDEX 01 59:43:08

That cue sheet is from a Copy of Office 2k Pro, that my dad has. I tried to make a copy for my self. I wanted the cue sheet so i could be able to encrypt it using freelock.

Thanks Again!!!
God Bless!

Life isn't so complicated for Office 2000! Easy CD Creator will copy that disk!
