Need Help please Burning

I am trying to make a back up of sim###ns wrestling. I have a acer 2010A burner and am using cdrwin. I follow the instructions to the letter about using this program. everything is fine making the image file to harddrive and than patching the game. The problem I have is when I go to burn it back to disc it says ... Error `START DAO RECORDING` command failed on device 0:0:0 Unable to set recording speed. Could someone tell me what could possibly be wrong. Any sugggestions would be appreciated. Sorry about the length of this post. Thank you

Two things
Why are you applying a patch?, if you have the PAL version it doesn't need one.
You do have ASPI installed, don't you?

The demo version of cdrwin will only burn at 1x. The acer 2010a will not write at 1x the slowest it write's is 2x so the demo version will not work, you must purchase the software, DO NOT USE A CRACK TO UNLOCK IT!! you will only get coasters if you do.

Ignore that last comment. Yes some writeers can't burn at 1x so they will instead just burn at 2x. So even if you had the real software that wouldn't fix the problem.

I have cdrwin version 4.0 so I take it the aspi drivers are installed already. Who is right about my burner, do you think it is because it wont burn at 1x speed, thats why it comes up with error. Is there another program like cdrwin that I can use to patch and burn games.

Yep it is my burner. Went to the cdrwin homepage and it said some burners wont be supported as they dont burn at 1x speed. Sorry to waste ya time guys. Was wondering still if there was another program that works the same as cdrwin. Thanks

I need help I recently tried to back up my Formula 1 2001 using CDR WIN and the protected patch downloaded fromt the website and the PPF Patch Engine - it all worked fine - it extracted the image file ok and then I applied the patch and burnt it back to a CDR and that was fine but when I put it in the Playstation it would not work - yes the Playstation is chipped and works with other back up games. I am using CDR WIN Version 3.8F which is the full verions with a Yamaha CD Writer and Adaptec SCSI Card on Windows ME operating system. Can anyone help me please?

Also why is it that if you use a cracked version you will get coasters - thanks.
