cdrdao and CD Text
Hi!
I have problems in doing backups of PSX cd. I think i've done all is needed (read the cd on hard disk, apply the patch, and then write the image on cd). Result, the cd doesn't work on the psx. Some information about what i've seen : - the size of the image file didn't change after applying the patch (is it normal?). - i noted an error message at the end of the reading operation of the cd on the disk. Here is the output : ------------------------- [root@serv_lx cdrdao# ./cdrdao read-cd --read-raw --datafile data.img --device 0,1,0 --driver generic-mmc-raw data.toc Cdrdao version 1.1.5 - (C) ####### Mueller <#######@daneb.de> SCSI interface library - (C) Joerg Schilling L-EC encoding library - (C) Heiko Eissfeldt Paranoia DAE library - (C) Monty ##### ####://cdrdao.sourceforge.net/drives.html#dt for current driver tables. Cannot read CD-TEXT data - maybe not supported by drive. [root@serv_lx cdrdao# ------------------------ Perhaps my copy doesn't work because of this error on the last line of output? (CD-Text data ...) I didn't find the option that generate the last line message (Cannot read CD-TEXT data - maybe not supported by drive). I've seen in your readme.txt file concerning the 1.1.5 version of cdrdao, that this problem no longer exist. What should i do? Using Linux (Mandrake 7.2 with kernel 2.2.17), applyppf. My cdrom is a TDK, emulated in SCSI, and seems to work well, and listed in your database of readers. It seems to be compliant to the mmc- standard. I tried the two driver options (generic-mmc and generic-mmc-raw) The patcher i've tried are Applyppf (for RedHat) and then under Win98, PPF-O-Matic. Thanks Rosaire AMORE |
