NEWBIE ?s
Ok here goes I hope someone doesn't flame me for this; I don't know anything about what I am about to ask.
I just finished a download and it says blah (PSX-PAL).ISO I know what the ISO is I deal with them all the time. What I do not know is how do I play this certain game on my pc. I assume I need an emulator and I have looked for one around but the PAL thing is kind of a concern since I have never seen it before and I just finished reading some articles with PAL in it. So can anyone tell me what PAL is and what do I need to do to play this game on my pc or is a game I can only play on the PSX. ? |

Well... if you have a PSX from the US, it's prolly a NTSC, which means, if you try to play that game on your PSX, the colors will come out messed up. What you do is to patch it... if there is one that is, mostly theres just patches for NTSC to PAL.
PAL is mostly Europe's video frequency(or whatever), it is different from NTSC, which is the USA and Japan's. Trying to play a PAL on a NTSC TV would result in messed up colors. Trying to play a NTSC game on a PAL TV would be the same as well. |

Minatory, thanks for routing me to your question. I believe your substantive question was about playing psx games on your PC. Sorry to disappoint you - but this is out of my arena. I believe there is an emulator called ##### (which can be found by searching on that word) and this forum reports some success but by no means full support for every game.
