can someone help me with 007 dvd to dvd-r

i have a pioneer ao3 and have had no troubles with backing up any other ps2 dvd game yet, but i have backed up this 007 agent under fire twice now , first time on max then on 1x they both copyed fine with no trouble they even load up fine and i can even play the first level but when i go onto the next level it gives me all the info for what i need to do then when it goes into the level 2 it just goes blank and gives me a black screen , whats baffling me is that ive been told by charlie that with ps2 dvd games u dont need any patches so why is this not working ? can someone please help me thx

You don't say what mod chip you have fitted & how you boot, If you boot with a swap method your original needs to have a TOC of more than 3.8gig . I've found that if i boot with an original with a lower TOC then the game goes blank after awhile. Try it using DOA or GTA as your swap.

hope this helps

Lukey makes a very fair point. May we know how you booted the game?

Hi man, your problem is the DVD-TOC you are using, make sure your boot disc is bigger or equal to the game you are playing.

Anychance of a copy of PrimoDVD?

VV is probably right. Those are symptoms (occasionally) of a lower TOC original.

There is no basis upon which to patch a DVD copied game - there are no fixes. And it's tough titties if you run into PAL/NTCS problems - that shoud be mechanically resolvable.

Cheers & let us know pleasae.

im using devil may cry as it has one of the largest toc and i have even tried baldurs gate as both are larger than 007 , and one more thing i played on my orig 007 and got past level 2 saved it then booted my back up one loaded the saved data then tried to see if it would load level three and it worked plus all the other levels so its just level 2 that has a block on it so then i thought maybe its me so i got my friend to back me up a copy on his system and guess what the same prob wont go past level one , so then we took the back up to one of his friends who has just got his system chipped with the mesha i think not sure but i do know all he has to do is put the disc in and they run and it did the same on his system so i have not got a clue ?

So it'll be a weak sector on the DVD-R. That happens. I'm told firware 1.65 improves this. I've upgraded but haven't had the problem yet.
