toca world touring cars patch

Hi all
Can anyone tell me if the bad patch for toca WTC works or is there a better path around ,all I get when it is patched is the bad patch display then the copyright screen.
Would a verbatim cdr disc help at all ?
Im using cdrwin to record the image with a gateway burner (might be a philips)any help would be much appreciated.

have patched it with a paradox patch from megagames and seems to run fine..have had a copy with the bad patch and it locks up after the first couple of races..but this one seems ok.

Hi thanks for you reply,I think I have probably tried that patch with no luck (LC2 CRACK + P/N Selector (PPF2) ? )same thing as the bad patch ,gets as far as the copyright screen and thats it .
I must be doing something wrong I usually use nero but the patches need to be put in with cdrwin.Once patched the game should run with out any other tricks in a chiped sony or am I missing something?
