Excuse my ignorance...whats the point of making backup cd's of PSX2 if they dont run on your con

Sorry for being thick but i have been advised on this forum to make a backup of my PSX2 disc's by using , CDRWIN,
Well i did and the disc will not run on my PSX2 console.
Then i am told it wont?
Can somebody please tell me why , and make it clear as to why not?
I know to run backup cd's on a PSX1 you need it chipped, is this the same for PSX2?
Thankyou.

sorry mate, but you are a bit thick. Of course you need a mod chip fitted on your ps2 to play backups. i recommend the Neo 2 Modchip. This can be purchased at www.playstationmods.com. Or why not wait a couple of weeks and get the neo key

you are not being thick, you do not need a modchip to play back up games. it helps with the booting process without question, but it is not a absolute must.
