Psx or ps1 board
I bought a chip for a new.ps1 that I bought for my kids.i had a friend who works on TV's solder it in and it didn't work. We took it out and now the PS1 doesn't work.I then bought a used PSX(the bigger one).Is the board on the psx any easier to work on than the ps1?i don't want to trash that one too. Thanks.

depending on what version you have the older PSX seem to be a little easier than the new PS-one however you need to find a experienced installer because it's very easy to melt the boards no matter what system you have. Good luck with it!!!

Thanks. We didn't melt the board. We can get it to play( you know-wiggle this wire.)There just isn't enough room to get in there and make the solder stick. I think I might take a wack at the bigger one . Thanks again for your input.
