Don't repair SubChannel Data????????
If I have understood, I can copy a PSX game without a patch, if I use CloneCD with the option "Don't repair SubChannel Data".
If this is right, I have a problem. I used CloneCD to copy a PSX game, but I was unable to select the option "Don't repair SubChannel Data". Is my Freecom CDR-RW 2x2x24 incomatible? Or is this a hidden funktion of any CD-Recorder? Please help!!!!!!!! |

To me it seems that your CD-Writer isn't compatible, but i could be wrong ...

Check the Elaboratebytes site and see if your burner is compatible...I have tried at least 4 different models till I got the Sony CRX 160E...you need to be 100% compatible for full functionality!

Your burner is'nt compatable with CloneCD.
You'll find there is an option to gain information about the compatability of you burner, id trust the results of this more than the Elaboratebytes compatability chart as it is not that up todate, and most info on there is submitted by user's like you and I.

Bandit, diholli - your burners are compatible with Cloncd but do not support reading/writing of subchannel data. This means that you can copy unprotected psx but not protected.
To copy protected, you need cdrwin+patch+fireburner. See my post "Freecom/Philips psx backup solution at last !!!" |
