So, I did try with CDRWIN - did not detected inserted CD!! The same BlinRead!? Can you help, please? This never happened before. This game is on "silver CD" with 6 PS logos on it. My system is Windows ME.Is it new protection, or something wrong with my system?

hi m8,
I did get a similar problem when trying to copy Microsoft Age of Empires II on the PC. It just refuses to let you copy the contents of the disc to the hard drive unless you run the setup.exe. Anyway, that isn't relevant to the psx scene but a similar type of protection system could be used (there was a microsoft ring around the cd which i think was blocking me from copying it). I can remember i once had a similar problem with speed freaks, but i did manage to get around the problem, but i can't remember how. I'll look into it for you and see whether i can remember how i got it to work. l8er, Animal. |

hi m8,
is ur cd writer a combi drive? have u written from it b4? as far as i am aware, u need specific cdwriting software to use it? (well the combi drives we use at work do anyway) as for a new form of protection i would not think so, i would have heard about it by now if it was. cheers |

DVD Games cannot be read with the same software that you would with normal games...Give up on the DVD copy till ripping software is avail! (You would never be able to burn them!)

Yep, thats right, your trying to rip a DVD titled PS2 game.......of course your cd-rw or whatever device your using to read (rip) the data with isn't going to find any data; because you can't read DVD format with those devices.....try another approach....and when you figure it out tell the rest of us how to back up our DVD titles..
