IS BACKING UP A PS2 GAME THE SAME AS A PSX GAME?
Dear clever people!
I have backed up psx for a long time using the methods this site gave me - using NERO. Please dont reply saying i should use other programs! Basically, can i back up a ps2 game the same as backing up a psx game using nero? Thank You

yes,for me anyway, unless the game original is on a dvd disc, then u need a dvd burner. some games require swap patches, some don't. patching as been the same so far using ppf-o-matic.

Ok, so backing up a PS2 is the same, but where and how do I get it to play on the PS2 system. Obviously I need a modchip, but where do I get one?

If u wanna run the PS2 copies on your PS2 u will either need to use the swap trick, which is kinda risky if u don't know what u r doing - )(www.megagames.com --- don't say i didn't warn u!) or get it chipped which will require u having to swap the disks anyway, but with *less* hassle compared to the swap trick.
All swap tricks games need patches, some NEO 2 modchip games may also need patchs. Copying DVD's is a whole new board game, so stick with the cd based games (blue/purple discs) for now... hope that helps, l8er, 4nim4l. PS. If u need any PS2 patches, www.megagames.com should have what u r looking for ... probably
