how to use Dos pls need it detailed

I have "soul reaver legacy of kain" but I dont know how to use Dos Prompt stuff can any one give me a detailed explenation.
Ive read the manual but I dont understand all of it so pls I need to know,quickly....

I tried yesterday but it says that it couldnt open my ISO file.what does that mean.
