Hi I read your post on firmware and creative cdrw. I have the rw8435e, will the same firmware work with this model.

Almost certainly not. The reason that the JVC firmware works with the 4224 is that the 4224 is a JVC writer that has been re-badged by Creative Labs and given some crap firmware.
Your Writer is not made by JVC originally however, so loading JVC firmware would be a bad idea, it's probably made by Samsung....I think.
