NERO Burning (newbie)

Downloaded demo of Nero 5. When I copy a cd (not on the fly) it asks for the original cd,put that in and it does it"s thing. Then the tray opens and it asks for a blank cd. Problem is the tray will not close. The program is not responding........HELP!!!! Thank You
