frustration... My pc locks up 3/4 through a backup..question...

My pc keeps locking up either 1/2 or 3/4 the way through a backup. I've got to track23.raw.gz of Unreal tournament. I am curious if there is a way I can ####t a rip at track23.raw.gz instead of ####ting the backup all over again. I'm sure my pc is locking up do to winblows 98, but instead of fixing it i am hopeing I can just ####t the rip where it left off. Really appreciate any help.

btw this is on a U.S. dreamcast. Im using serial upload slave to boot the DC and teraterm pro for terminal program. also using the dcrip.ttl macro for the download.

i had first the same problem, go to http://www.internetconvoy.com into the DCguides section, and klick on ripping hints, there you can read how to use ram booster to fix the problem, had worked for me. and remember not to make anything on your pc while ripping, not touck the mouse or anything else!!!!!
