Can't Save on PS2!

Everytime i try to save on my PS2, I get the prompts on the game, but then it takes me back to the browser screen. It's odd, Jax & Dexter, Red Faction, Zone of Enders, all can't save. They are in back up form (cd). BUT, ATV Offroad Fury, GT3 and Cap. Vs SNK2, work perfectly fine in saving, cd backup. What's wrong with my games/ps2? Thank you for your time and have a nice day. Note: I use a Gameshark to boot PS2 backups, i don't know which NEO version I have. My ps2 is NTSC/USA.

I have backed up redfaction and it works/saves fine, I can't be sure of your problem...
