what are patches?

what are patches anyway are they the games or what i mean there are some on this site so do i download those or what i just dont know i just dont know *sob*

Patches are not games. Once you have successfully d/l a full game and burnt it the game WILL work but there may be small bugs in it from the rippers. These can then be fixed by d/l the patch and applying it.
On some original games you have the option of either 50Hz 0r 60Hz yeah, well some of the d/l games do not have this option and have to be played at 50Hz which means that you will be playing with the two big black borders on your TV. 50to60Hz patches change this from within the .BIN file code and allow you to play it at 60Hz. This is only an example though patches can be for anything, e.g playing JAP games on a US machine.......... #

I personally always ##### for game patches before I burn the first copy of any ISO'Z, cuz it saves wasting a CD.
