CIU v"i" Question
Hi guys.
I really didn't know where to ask this, sorry pakrat, grumpy , but I just have one question.Actually, I'm wondering why REVO and Fabioddq, why they don't use any password to protect their files. Because, you know that everyone can extract setup.exe without any problem. I don't remember did they ever used any password....... I'm asking this because I already saw few installations of few games with exactly the same images, cursors....., installation which you can see if you download conversion from REVO or Fabioddq, but it was edited like it was created by another "user"..... You know, they are stealing REVO's and Fabioddq's hard work. Don't know about you guys but I don't like that. As I said, I'm just curious why you don't use any password to protect those files. Thank You for your time. |

I suggest hitch mines
![]() Seriously, there is no more setup.cab, all files are included directly in setup.exe, so you can't crypt them. What's more - even files crypted in setup.cab was easy to retrieve for intermediate user, but shh... The old truth says that a thief keeps an eye on you, not vice versa. They always find a way to rob you. |

There was an idiot once who spoiled how to get files from crypted cab.. Even more Razor's 'cab launcher' will support or supports uncrypt the cab files. yener's source will always be open for this kind of thievery. Installshield however, it's hard to get anything from it, but since it has no similar visuals...
There's one way to deal with those fuckers; dont do any visuals, make a setup like peter did once (black theme) or simply use blackbox script. I actually like the idea of using one script for every game. No more thievery, no more visual work, requires less time, choke the thieves in their shit so they'll use same crap every time. Apart from this, i'd like to see those motherfuckers who learned nothing and still delete creator's name from setups. I really to find thos pricks, get their IP and ban the fucking range. If you got a source about them, send us please Cheers Last edited by REV0; 11-09-2013 at 05:50. |

Community don't be lazy!
There are source codes, there are tutorials, there is community which is be wise to teach or help, then why you are not trying to create one instead of thieving? |

Simple. Compile Script with Inno Setup Enhanced Edition then setup file cannot be unpacked and CIU must be equiped with Botva2U then graphics and other setup files will be un-obtainable and un-traceable.

One thing that can backfire on people in this forums is people creating repacks using peoples conversions will make the creators of the conversion involved in a crisis matter like breaking the CD/DVD copyright rules like making copies of a software/game and end up being a suspect or something like that because from what I remember in the forum conversion rules: conversions are there to backup your game(s). but by not stealing anything. everyone knows that the CIU and the result of yener90 and BlackBox and fruit of all as an installer of Peter and the result of peter or large graphics Revo jobs are Revo .. I've learned to fill in 20 days (((((((unaided))))))) I got only 2% of help .. only adm Pakard and razor were cute .. I slam to learn how to hold the request of the disk change in the blackbox in the foreground by 20 days and not asking anyone .. I will get there one day
![]() fatal error with reason! if noon share great work, you can at least answer on how to do better .. I speak of programmers up to do it, I know it's boring to feed with a spoon in small chicks. but here there are things that the school can not learn Last edited by sentinelks; 11-09-2013 at 07:26. |

What Razor12911 said is the solution.
I also got that answer from other user from another forum. Nothing was extractable while I was testing installation by that user....... Maybe some default inno things, and that was that. Don't remember now, so I'm going to check installation one more time. "If you got a source about them, send us please" I will do my best to find more about them. It seems that those "users" are from some private forum, and "links" I saw are just RU from that private forum...... They were already taken down since mods on that forum, they also don't like that kind of users.... Were those links down for good, don't know. At least now I don't see any Splinter Cell with all your work available online.... |

I really don't care anymore. I always put passwords but not enough. So if trolls want to steal and put their names so they do this. In my mind I always know that this is my work. This already enough for me.
![]() Anyway, i always put on the installer page: Graphic arts by Fabioddq blah blah, so who stole, or will leave my name there, or at least have some work to remove. Last edited by Fabioddq; 11-09-2013 at 19:16. |

simple really, RESPECT THE AUTHORS WORK, use it as it is. You DONT like something with the way it is, DONT use it then, & learn to make your own.

On the other hand, if you give away everything for free, perhaps even without a licence (public domain), then nothing can be stolen from you.

In the past I thought so, but not now.Trolls don't respect the work of others even being free. But like I said it doesn't matter anymore. There will always be a way to get the files.

The idea of being 'free' is not something about program or application, it's about work spent on it. Even if you give an application free, author always write that give me a credits. As a deviantart user, if you use someone else's work, and publish on same place, you mention from him/her. Thats what we, as converters want, dont delete our names, mention us because we spent time on it. Nobody is paying us to create something, your idea of giving or making something free is not same we think or consider. Still i'm not gonna write hundreds of words about this because i know we aint gonna go anywhere. Quote:

Well said! And this is exactly why you shouldn't get upset about them. As the saying goes: "Being nervous is punishing oneself for the stupidity of others." Just ignore them.
