NEO4 or MESSIAH?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
If you compare the two, it seems MESSIAH is a much better deal, with DVDr and DVD silver direct boot capabilities. Plus Messiah uses 10 or so less wires, and claims to be cheaper! Can NEO be defeated!? How is this possible?! Or will this so-called messiah dissapoint us all? Somebody tell me which mod i should invest in...

The Messiah is cheaper but apparantly difficult to install.
However if you know someone who will chip it for you I would go for the Messiah chip. It seems like it is going to be less hassle and less money. For uptodate news on the new mod chips goto http://ps2ownz.com Sim PM |

I am going to wait until the messiah is released and get some feedback from some of the other users before i invest in it. this chip does show alot of promise but i have been burnt in the past by chip developers who claim there product works but didn't.[ www.modchip.com]. Remember, if its to good to be true it probably is, After all, the neo 3 was a flop and we all know how well the neo2.2 works.

Hi,
Im in no hurry to upgrade from my NEO2.2 to NEO4/messiah it takes a few seconds to swap from a boot cd to backup, plus with all those wires to soldier seems like an install will be quite expensive and i would never install one myself, even thought ive done plenty of PS1 chips. These new chips are a whole new ball game, and ill be waiting for some resulte before i take the plunge. Dal - well happy NEO2.2 mod owner |

It's all eagerly awaited vapour to me. Playstationmods seem to have closed their forum so one can't get the further information that they say is available on the web site. Channel Technology's website is equally sparse on the Messiah's capabilities.
That said, I'll invest in the first one I see that's billed to work on the Jap SCPH 15000. |

Like i have said before the messiah has:
No US Support (They are publicly begging for a US PS2 console!!!) No Jap Support No HK silvers No DVD multiregion No Version 3 DIY install Currently requires a reset trick to distinguish PSX from PS2 so i think that the neo4 would be a better buy even though the messiah is less expensive.
