HD Loader To PC

I made backups of a few of my PS2 games for when i get a modchip in a month or two. The other day my little sister got a hold of my True Crime: Streets Of LA disc and scratched it to hell I have a backup of the game but i dont really want to wait until i get the mod-chip to play it again. So is it possible to hook up my HDLoader Hard-drive to my computer and copy the backup to it?

I guess it doesnt really matter if i cant i'll just wait till i get a mod-chip installed but t would be cool to play it when i get my HDLoader.
