Psi-Ops and Trackmania

Does anyone know if these two starforce protected titles have been cracked 100%? Trackmania seems to crash when you try to access the 3rd group of tracks.

Both titles have what seems to be starforce file system (SFFS) containers, and the cracks contain no extra files other than the main exe and the protect.dll. Trackmania has resource.dat and tm.dat, while Psi-Ops has just a 200KB resource.dat file.

I could be wrong here. The resource.dat files could be regular game files, or the crackers (Immersion and Reloaded) could have implemented the SFFS loader into the crack, but I haven't seen that done until later starforced releases. Hell, even Bet On Soldier didn't use the hacked starforce VFS to load the protected files and that was a much later title.

Nope, not quite like this. All the results of my searches yield either questions about problems with the games not launching, or requests for cracks for newer patches of the game.

The cracks launch fine for me, but Trackmania will crash when loading tracks in the 3rd level or higher (not the 3rd track, but the third group of tracks), wheras with the original disc it works perfectly. I haven't played through all of Psi-Ops yet, but I suspect it will crash at some point if using the crack, which is why I'm posting this.

If you can find a post addressing this issue, I'd be happy to take a look at it.

Have you tried the mini-image for Trackmania?

There is a FAQ on the forum to show you how to use it. That way it wont matter what patch you have etc.

My only concern here was if the no-cds for these two games that are on this site actually work through the whole game. If they don't, it'd be nice to mark them as such. Obviously this problem does not extend to the mini-images.

I'm pretty sure the TM crack is bad, and I will eventually play through all of Psi-Ops and find out about that one myself, but was hoping to save some time.

Well GCW is a storage site in a way, no-one sits and can sit and test every single crack that becomes available. Simply not everyone has every single game to test it on.

But also, some cracks work on one machine but wont work on another. Its one of PC's (lifes) mysteries.

the PSI-Ops crack work well for me, had no issue when i play the game
