how do i make a DVD ISO?

i have a dvd burner (well, my friend has one on his g4).

i tried just hitting "copy" on toast 5 titanium (for devil may cry), but it wouldn't boot.

i'm using neo 2.2 internal mod chip in conjunction with gameshark 2 v 1.3... all my CD-R backups work fine, but i've been burning those on my own PC...

the question:

does anybody know how to make an ISO of a DVD (preferrably on a mac (so i wouldn't have to do it on a HD then put that IN the mac to burn)? i used to use a lil app called "astarte cd-copy 1.3", but that was years ago, i dunno if it'll work for a dvd. i'm probably going to try that tomorrow, but if anybody knows a software solution that will work 'for sure', i'd love to know. DVD-Rs aren't cheap, and they make really expensive coasters.

thanks...

first of all, is the dvd burner even compatible? it has to be a dvd-r, not +r, +rw, -rw or ram.
second, check your boot method. dvd-r's can't be booted the same way as a cdr.

Angry

Repeat: Just get the latest update for Roxio Toast from www.roxio.com
5.2 I think, this adds support for the Pioneer A103 to Toast.

Another note the Pioneer A103 is exactly the same drive as the one Apple's calling their Apple Superdrive and shipping in the top line G4's so its fully supported.

do I have to say Tried and Tested again ???

Metal G 2 (sol)
Jak and Daxter
Max Payne
Tony H 3

all 100% no patches on Apple dvd-r Media.
