Mod Chip Lifespan
Generally how long does an xbox modchip last for? and if it does die will replacing the modchip be the only thing needed to be done?.

I would think they should last as long as the system its on. Just as long as it doesn’t get a power spike, short out or some thing like that, they should work fine.

 Kudos for an original question. I dont think I've ever heard that one! Then again, I dont think its that important. The chip will probably last a lot longer than you'll be playing Xbox. (Theres already rumors on whats in Xbox2)
