DVD Shrink DVD Won't Fit on DVD

Well I use DVD Shrink to make back-ups of my movies. I tried making a back-up of this movie and it wouldn't fit it said please inset a DVD with enough space to fit the movie onto. I use 4.7GB DVD discs. Anyway DVD Shrink also rips the DVD onto your hard drive. So I went to see how big the movie was on my hard drive and it was 4.8GB. Is there anyway I can make this DVD fit? It has some previews at the beginning and end is there anyway I can remove those but not ruin the DVD and make it play an original? What program can do this? I tried burning the files from the DVD with nero but it wouldn't so I deleted some previews but then it said DVD contents changed DVD may not work properly.

Thanks,
ImDonly1
