To find the disc size of PS2 games do a search for "table of Content", thats what the threads name was. I just tried it and it should work but the search function appears to be down, so you may just have to go back a ways in the threads to find it.
Either the Messiah 2 or the Magic 3.1 will work in your console, however, your neochip is probably destroying your laser. The Messiah is the better chip, but a little more pricey. If you have an older console it is recommended to sell it and get a newer one, because of your dying laser. Backups of DVD9 games work perfect in Mesiah 2, Magic 3.1 still has some trouble with even the original DVD9. Don't know about AR2 with Neo4 Somebody here might know about Xbox DVD9 but you are better asking in the Xbox forum.
