For the PS2 DVD guro's out there Help ME!
I've just bought a jap PS2 scph1000 chipped but it cam with the dvd drivers(1.01) installed but also had the util disk 1.00. When I trie to install the other driver(1.00) it comes up half way through with a message and doesn't work. I tried copying the util disk which I got a perfect no error copy(copied at 1 speed with CDRwin) but when I use that one it gets to the end so it looks but just crashs if I reset the machine it has done nothing. Can someone help me please.
PS. Why don't UK region 2 DVD's work on the Jap PS2 mailto://Wayneoferguson********co.uk |

I could have sworn that SONY made is so that once you install the 1.01 drivers, you can't go back. Maybe that is the problem.
But then again I also thought that it should be able to copy the Drivers directly from the CD to the memory card incase you accidently deleleted it off the memory card. This one is though, I'm sorry I couldn't provide more help, i have the US PS2 with the 1.10U DVD Drivers (i think that's the right number). |

This is proving a problem for me! I had ver1.00 drivers installed on my memory card, took it home with me, plugged it in and checked the card for data. It was blank, the machine wiped my drivers!!!!! Thing is though, the machine was bought in March when it first came out and I haven't played a single DVD on it yet!!!! help!
