Plug mods do support quite a few games but there are always some that wont work and there are some other issues with third party external additions aswell.

The internal mod is by far the best!

The mod-plug will work on all games that are burned correctly. If doesn't have to do anything but boot up the game.

I've only come across one game in over 2 years that wouldn't work with my plugmod: Strider 2. Luckily, plugmods often double as a fully functional GameSharks, and there are codes that can be input to bypass even the most aggressive copy protection schemes.

It used to be that mod chips would become obsolete after a year or two because companies would devise ways to detect them. However, by now, really any kind of mod you go with (internal, external, or the new cd-based) is pretty much undetectable.

Personally, I went with the plugmod simply because I can't be trusted with a soldering iron (and the GameShark features, in my opinion, are really worth the extra few bucks).
